This week at NAHC, Team Ontario will be wearing #strongfor4 helmet stickers in honor of Callie and Evan Joseph.Callie and Evan were tragically lost in a car accident on their way to a hockey tournament in Northwestern Ontario on April 21, 2023. Both kids loved the game of hockey and proudly wore the number four; as a tribute and in memory, Team Ontario will proudly wear fours for them. Sport has the power to unite communities, and the Indigenous hockey community is united in remembering Callie and Evan.Thank you, Matt Tapper, and the Aboriginal Sport Circle, for providing the helmet stickers and the moment of silence at last night’s Opening Ceremonies.
